To be able to get some of the fundamentals of using Charts, Pivot tables and even VLOOKUP you'll need to understand absolute references. - SUMIFS
Looking at numerous columns and need to get a single value based on certain criteria then look no further than the sumifs. - Macros
When used well these can accomplish anything however you might want to click the relative references button before you start recording. To make full use you may want to check out VBA for Excel.

Here again at Lisa Angel this time conducting an InDesign CS6 beginners course. InDesign is one of the many courses we train in Norwich and one of the most difficult parts of training InDesign for beginners in the inserting of pictures. To get your head around the Rectangular frame tool and the actual picture inside the tool can be tricky. Happy to say that all the girls where more that capable of grasping that and much more. Thanks a lot girls ... Take Care Thanks all you guys in Norwich well done, the butterflies you created all look great I will expect them in necklaces etc. Also thanks for bearing with me sneezing away all day hay fever is so annoying.
One of the hardest things to train is the pen tool. It can be something next to impossible to those who venture upon it for the first time. A beginners course in Illustrator can help get you started however you'll need a little more practice before you are able to master the dragon that is the pen tool.

Sometimes though the small things help, so try the following:
Back to Ghost again for some Excel 2013 training. Thanks for the Subway lunch. There's always a lot to take it on an Excel day and hopefully the 4 lovely people that were trained aren't leaving with too much of a headache. A couple of handy video that may help are listed below: Linking between worksheets Using VLookup Absolute References Hope these help videos are worthy of you guys.
InDesign again and this time in London not too far from the Tower great news for our plan of getting more London based business. Going through a bespoke template helping the 8 ladies understand how to work with what they already had was really fun! Couple of Tips:
Just wanted to say thanks to Suzanne for the lunch and the cheese and onion crisps and look forward to working with you again. I'll get your exercise files over to you Thursday. More InDesign Tips Here |
The art of trainingI've seen many things the good the bad and the darn right ugly. Not that perfection in training is anything I've achieved but sometimes a bit of empathy and common sense can make the person you're training feel at ease and aid training. Archives
