- I used a Logitech HD webcam plugged into my laptop balanced on a chair at the head of the table. I adjusted the camera so the Zoom user could see the others in the board room.
- Then I ran an HDMI cable from my laptop to the boardroom screen, this gave everyone else the opportunity to see InDesign on the screen.
- I started a Zoom meeting and shared whatever I was doing on the large screen.
- I invited all in the room to the Zoom meeting along with the delegate at home. (This way all in the office could maintain contact with each other).
- As one final touch, due to the home student not having a copy of InDesign downloaded on their machine, I gave her remote control access to my machine. This allowed her to practice what she just learned.
Plus some of the students took the opportunity to record what they were doing, helped by our recent "How to record your screen using PowerPoint?" video tutorial.
