With the Visio 2016 beginners training course it's important to first of all ascertain the company needs with regard to processes within the organisation. Then you need to know the best method of presenting those processes inside and outside the organisation. Today I was at World Visio, which is a charity that provides aid to children around the planet, and running this training course in Milton Keynes for them opened their eyes to see how processes don't have to be presented as long, dry, over complicated documents. But with the clever use of shapes, colours and repetition they can be a little more palatable.

Today I was training a gentleman who was a non-executive director at Acacia Avenue. Acacia are a marketing company in East London near Angel. The training was for Google sheets. But one of the difficult things for beginners in Google sheets training is understanding how to use Google Drive. One of the great things about the course was it was finished in basically half a day which gave me half the day off. It also gave me pause for thought to offering a half day courses. However working out the practicalities of that might be easier said than done.
Today I was training an intermediate InDesign training course in Leicester. The company, CMI paving, was a subsidiary of Parkers paving machines this company made the huge machines that would be used for the A14 expansion or maybe crashing concrete that could be used on Crossrail. Although the training was for just one person it was quite an intense course as the person was self taught.
The problem here was that somebody had been using InDesign for years and was using JPEGs and Tiff files for everything. Needless to say file size was huge and picture quality was substandard. Some of the points that we went through today were:
Today I was training a team at AXA in Visio 2010. Now I know why it's so difficult to get the money out of some insurance companies when you have had an accident that wasn't your fault. Visio is particularly handy for flowcharts and organisational charts, but of particular interest to them was cross functional flowcharts and how to use off page references effectively. You may or may not be aware that the two versions of Microsoft Visio are professional and standard. The professional version allows you to create software diagrams and heating ventilation and air conditioning drawings. For a bonus at the end of the course I showed them how to do an office layout plan. Detailing how to add windows and doors and office furniture along with asset tracking. Of course the magic button is on the plan tab on the ribbon which is the convert to walls button. For more information about creating an organisation chart, please see our video creating an organisation chart from an Excel spreadsheet. Sure you've heard it. Bet you didn't know that someone came out with the exact time intervals you should recall information. Now you do!! Check out more computer training courses on our website.
Today I conducted a Dreamweaver course in a house. That's right actually in someones home. Now training Dreamweaver in a day is really tricky. That being the case it's best to focus on what the delegate wants to get out of the training. Have a look at the site they are currently editing, that way you can focus on what the client needs to know to be able to edit there site. Which today was...

The art of trainingI've seen many things the good the bad and the darn right ugly. Not that perfection in training is anything I've achieved but sometimes a bit of empathy and common sense can make the person you're training feel at ease and aid training. Archives
